Your child fights alone!
Motyl is very effective at filtering out adult content, but you can enter other keywords that let you limit access to other sites you don't want your kids to see.
Remember that this tab only applies to the content of a web page. The content of a web page address is handled by the List of allowed addresses and the List of banned addresses tabs.
Motyl has built-in
keywords and it analyses web pages with regard to the occurrence of the words in the content of the pages. The words come from many languages. If the amount of the forbidden words on a page reaches an excessive level the page is closed. The amount of built-in
keywords in the program as well as their selection are optimal and sufficient. However, if you want to add your own
keywords you can do so here.
Select the Include my words option. One of the ways the Motyl program works is by analyzing the textual content of a web page. In this tab the user himself can add a few of his own words, which will disqualify the page if they occur on it. We recommend to add no more than ten words.
Words should not be typed in full, but rather in their basic form, the core, which can be found in most of the inflected forms of the word. For instance, if you want to exclude pages which describe murders, you should type in murder so that the program will also react to words: murders, murdered, murderer, murdering etc.
With the standard sensitivity of the program, a page will be disqualified if the total amount of occurrences of all the words filled in by the user is bigger than two.
Therefore, you should not overdo with the amount of words or increase the program?s sensitivity too much because too many pages will be rejected.
